Thousands Walk for Ovarian Cancer Awareness

Thousands of folks from across the Twin Cities met in Edina Saturday morning to fight a disease that kills thousands of women every year.

The Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance hosted a 5K run and 2K walk at Rosland Park to help raise money for research and programs within the state.

Zebra mussels have been found in Lake Hiawatha, but one city official predicts the invasive mollusks won't thrive in the Minneapolis lake.
A Minneapolis Star Tribune report says waterways that flow through Lake Hiawatha were already infested, so officials knew it was only a matter of time before zebra mussels were found there as well.

The father of an infant shot Thursday night in North Minneapolis wasn't truthful with police about what happened, according to investigators.
