Minority Hiring Projections Positive for Vikings Stadium, But One Company Missing the Mark

A company hired to construct a parking ramp next to the new Vikings' stadium in downtown Minneapolis is not meeting state mandates for hiring minority workers, according to new numbers released Friday by the Minnesota Sports Facilities Association (MSFA).

MSFA Approves $647K in Added Costs for Vikings Stadium

The budget for the new Vikings stadium is going up again.

The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority approved an extra $647,000 in added costs to be covered by the Minnesota Vikings.

Police: 2 Arrested in St. Paul Bank Robbery that Closed I-94

Authorities in Minneapolis have arrested two men who they say robbed a St. Paul bank as they tried to make a getaway on Interstate 94.

St. Paul police say the two suspects, identified as 36-year-old Adrian Lamont Kinerd and 31-year-old Tashawn Jefferson Schively, robbed a TCF Bank on St. Paul's east side Thursday.

'Orange Line' Between Mpls. and Burnsville Gets Federal Approval

Plans for a Bus Rapid Transit line that would run between downtown Minneapolis and Burnsville have received federal approval.

The METRO Orange Line was given the OK from the Federal Transit Administration to enter project development. The line would open in 2019 and would run 17 miles along the Interstate 35W corridor.

Cone Zone: Hwy. 100 Closes for 2nd Consecutive Weekend

For the second weekend in a row, Highway 100 is closing in both directions from Interstate-394 to Highway 62. Crews will demolish the Canadian Pacific Railway Bridge, which is located just south of Highway 7.

Man Sentenced for BB Gun Shooting Outside of Downtown Mpls. Bar

A 44-year-old man convicted of shooting a man with a BB gun outside of a downtown Minneapolis bar last fall will spend time in jail for the crime.

Wayne Steven Odegard has been sentenced to six months in the Hennepin County workhouse, along with five years of probation. He pleaded guilty in October to a charge of terroristic threats.

St. Paul Pioneer Press reports 46-year-old Earl Ward pleaded guilty Thursday to two counts of criminal vehicular operation and violating a no-contact order with the children's mother. His plea didn't come with a deal for sentencing.
