New State-of-the-Art Building Opens at University of Minnesota

A new building opened at the University of Minnesota campus Wednesday.

The new state of the art physics and nano-technology building features 40 modern physics labs and another lab specifically for large-scale physics experiments.

There is also plenty of space dedicated to nano-technology research.

Como-Harriet Streetcar Line Needs Volunteers

At one time streetcars were a part of the daily life for people in the Twin Cities. Streetcars here date back to the 1900s, the era of electric mass transit.

Injuries Reported after Metro Transit Bus Hits Pedestrian, Stops Abruptly

Metro Transit Police are investigating after a bus knocked down a pedestrian in downtown Minneapolis Tuesday.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. on Second Avenue South and Washington Avenue. The pedestrian was conscious and breathing and was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. The pedestrian was later released from the hospital.

A man is in serious condition at Regions Hospital after leading police on a chase and slamming into a brick wall in Maplewood at 90 mph Wednesday morning.
