Celebrate National Night Out in Minnesota

Got your casserole ready? How about some hot dogs for the grill?

All across the state tonight, people will be gathered on the street pavement in front of their houses to share food, eat, talk and have some fun...for the 28th Annual National Night Out.

There's an ulterior motive for the hundreds of block parties, of course--to bring neighbors and community members together to prevent crime.

Events surrounding tonight actually fall under two names-- National Night Out (NNO), which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and Night to Unite, which was created by the Minnesota Crime Prevention Association.

By the way, if you're taking photos at your block party, send them to us at: pics@KSTP.com and your party could be featured on KSTP.com.

The winning party will win KSTP t-shirts!
