'Bash4Guild' Aims to Smash the Stigma of Mental Illness

For youth struggling with mental illnesses, transitioning from adolescence to adulthood can be a daunting task, especially for those who may not have a solid support system around them.

A new division of a Twin-Cities organization was launched in the beginning of this year to address that problem.

MOA to Host Vikings Cheerleader Final Auditions

The Mall of America will host final auditions for the 2014 squad of Minnesota Vikings cheerleaders.
Fifty-four finalists are scheduled to compete Tuesday night in the mall's rotunda, from 7-9:30 p.m. The Vikings will announce the results of the final auditions on their website Wednesday.

Motorcyclists Gear Up for Annual Spring Flood Run

Minnesota's motorcycle season kicks off with the annual spring Flood Run.
As many as 30,000 motorcyclists are expected to hit the road Saturday for a scenic ride between the Twin Cities and Winona. The Flood Run commemorates the 1965 Mississippi River flood when motorcyclists rode from the Twin Cities area to help out in Winona.

The city of Minneapolis submitted a bid to host the 2018 Super Bowl on Tuesday. The bid has been years in the making, but the last few weeks have been busy as the city prepared its final pitch.

The team has a huge binder they’ve been putting together, which was overnighted to the NFL with no time to spare.

Local Revelers Celebrate St. Paddy's Day in Twin Cities

St. Patrick's Day is Monday, but there were celebrations all weekend long across the Twin Cities.

Over in St. Paul at the Landmark Center the "Irish Day of Dance" continued Monday, featuring traditional music, fancy footwork, and traditional Irish cuisine. The two-day Irish event started Sunday.

Lawmakers Could Open Bars Late for All-Star Game

A Minnesota House panel is considering temporarily changing state law to let bars stay open until 4 a.m. when the All-Star Game comes to town this July.
The new closing time would pave the way for revelers in Hennepin County to celebrate America's national pastime for two extra hours.

The governor of Rhode Island is traveling to Minneapolis to deliver remarks at the University of Minnesota.
Democratic Gov. Lincoln Chafee is scheduled to speak at the university's Humphrey School of Public Affairs Wednesday evening.
