Mayor Pushes College... to 3rd Graders | Events
Mayor R.T. Rybak and two hundred volunteers will read "I Know I Can" to all third graders in Minneapolis Public Schools.
"I Know I Can" College Awareness Day is led by the Mayor's Office to promote the importance of a college education to young children.
The mayor will read to students at Pillsbury Elementary School this morning.
The program is sponsored by RBC Wealth Management, the University of Minnesota, and the Minnesota College Access Network.
It's the sixth year for the event.
