Richfield City Council Approves El Tejaban Relocation

The Richfield City Council has approved a conditional use permit for El Tejaban Mexican Restaurant, allowing the restaurant to move across the street to the Richfield Shoppes complex.

Richfield City Council to Examine McDonald's Proposal This Week

The Richfield City Council will examine a proposal this week to build a McDonald's restaurant in the Cedar Point Commons Shopping area, located near 66th St. and Richfield Parkway. The city's planning commission is recommending the full council deny the proposal.

Anchor Fish & Chips Celebrating Art-a-Whirl

With the Art-a-Whirl returning to Northeast Minneapolis, a staple restaurant in the neighborhood is also getting in on the celebration. 

The Anchor Fish & Chips is hosting "Anchor Art-a-Whirl" is set for May 18th & 19th.  Food service starts at 12pm each day with music beginning at 2pm.

Richfield Restaurants Honored for Food Safety

The City of Richfield honored several local restaurants for excellence in food safety with its 2012 Food Safety Awards. The health inspector nominates three to four establishments in full service/large restaurant, fast food/pizza/carryout/cafeteria service, and retail/grocery categories.

15th Anniversary For La Belle Vie in Minneapolis

15th Anniversary For La Belle Vie in Minneapolis

La Belle Vie in Minneapolis will be celebrating its 15th anniversary later this month.  The celebration is set for March 24th at the restaurant.

It will include a cocktail party with music, small plates, caviar and champion.  In addition to the food from award-winning chef Tim McKee, several other chefs who worked at the restaurant will be on hand.

Seafood Restaurant Arrives in North Loop

For lobster lovers, there's a new choice for dining in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis.  The Smack Shack food truck has expanded to a restaurant at 603 Washington Avenue N.

Dinner hours are 5 to 10pm on weekdays, with a late night menu until midnight.   On Friday and Saturdays, dinner is served until 11pm with a late night menu stretching until 1am.
