Stay Safe During Severe Weather Awareness Week | Weather
In honor of the upcoming Severe Weather Awareness Week in Minnesota, city officials are asking residents and businesses to review emergency plans.
Severe Weather Awareness Week is April 16-20. During that week, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety will promote different types of severe weather and how to protect yourself in case of an emergency.
Here are the topics:
April 16 – Severe Storms, Lightning and Winds
April 17 – Weather Alerts and Warnings
April 18 – Floods, Flash Floods
April 19 – Tornado Drill Day -- Emergency sirens will sound at 1:45 p.m. and 6:55 p.m.
April 20 – Heat Waves
